10 മീറ്ററോളം ഉയരം വരുന്ന ഒരു ഇടത്തരം വൃക്ഷം. മൂപ്പെത്താത്ത ശിഖരങ്ങളിൽ നിറയെ മുള്ളൂകളുണ്ടാകും.മാർച്ച്‌ ,ഏപ്രിൽ മാസങ്ങളിൽ നിറയെ ചുവന്നു തുടുത്ത പഴങ്ങളുണ്ടാകും. മധുരവും ചവർപ്പും കലർന്ന ഈ പഴങ്ങൾ ഭക്ഷ്യയോഗ്യമാണ്. വയങ്കതൻ (Rustic), പുലിത്തെയ്യൻ (Common Leopard) എന്നീ ശലഭങ്ങളുടെ ലാർവാ ഭക്ഷ്യസസ്യം കൂടിയാണിത്.
